Welcome to the quick access page for CEL Staff to find Marketing materials. If you still need help, please contact Angela, Asia, or Katie.
Please answer all questions as thoroughly as possible, as this information will help you to think through details that will help guide this process. The next step will be to meet with the Marketing team to talk through the project and establish a project timeline. Most requests will require at least two weeks to complete.
When you click the link, you will be prompted to log into Microsoft if you are not already. Please use your CEL email address and password to access the form. Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of the form, and one will be sent to the Marketing team as well.
Photography is an enormous part of the CEL brand, as we are a member-forward organization that utilizes photos to tell stories. When taking photos of members please note the following for best results:
Be sure that everyone in the photo has signed a photo consent form.
All photos must be larger than 1GB in size to be used in printed materials. Phones do capture large enough files, as long as they are shared as their original size. If you email photos, keep the original size when sending, even if that means sending multiple emails.
Use photos that respect members’ dignity and uphold their value, just as you prefer dignified photos of yourself, give members that same consideration.
We love to show a variety of the hundreds of CEL members. Capture diversity by taking photos of pairs/groups that have a mix of:
Age
Disability (someone who uses wheelchair/walker with others who don’t)
Ethnicity
Gender
Members – has this person not been featured in photos? Definitely take their picture!
Convey our mission visually through engaging, smiling photos of members/volunteers/staff:
Members experiencing personal success
Members on the job or training for employment
Members engaged in the community
Members having fun
Members together as friends
Members enjoying specific activities (gardening, art, dancing, etc.)
Smiling photos are always great, especially if the setting/situation is clear. Photos where someone is not looking at the camera are also usable IF they are visibly engaged in an activity without further explanation required.
Highlight inclusion and community participation with photos taken at different locations during community excursions.
Photos taken at various places in CEL are also great. There are many photos of members sitting at a table working on an activity. Change it up when you can!
When taking photos of members, both individually and in group shots, take multiple photographs to ensure that everyone is portrayed well.SO MANY great photos can’t be used because one person wasn’t engaged. We can edit photos together (on occasion) if you have more than one shot.
Most importantly – you should be having fun too! If you’re enjoying the moment, or witnessing members living their best lives, that will show in the photos/video. If you are recording a video please make sure it’s stable and that you record for more than 10 seconds.
We are ALWAYS happy to talk more about photos/video with you individually!

What is your favorite thing about CEL?
My favorite thing about CEL is actually what impressed me the most when I started as a volunteer in 2018, and that’s the obvious connection between staff and members. Everyone who works here cares about enriching the lives of people with disabilities, and that sincere dedication makes a huge difference.
What is a fun fact about YOU?
My Dad is notorious for his inability to resist a bargain, and I think it’s hereditary. No matter how unnecessary something is, if it’s marked 90% off I will feel compelled to at least consider how it might improve my life.

What is your favorite thing about The Nora Project/CEL?
My favorite part about The Nora Project/CEL is that our curricula is designed to be taught in inclusive settings where disabled and nondisabled students engage in topics like diversity empathy, accessibility, community, and advocacy together!
What is a fun fact about YOU?
I absolutely love dogs and used to volunteer as a puppy raiser, training future service dogs for people with disabilities. I still enjoy training and now participate in multiple dog sports with my pets Annie, a golden retriever, and Fable, a flat-coated retriever.

What is a fun fact about YOU?
I am a big fan of Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, and the Degrassi franchise. I enjoy watching video essays on character development, listening to podcasts, and rambling off about show specifics.
