GRAMMY-nominated artist Lachi just released Magnificent, a dance/pop album that celebrates disability and difference through bops that entire families can jam out to.
Companion curriculum from CEL’s The Nora Project pairs with the music and invites you to a joyful celebration of disability, difference, and pride; recognizing that every voice and every way of being is something to celebrate.

Magnificent Curriculum
A collaboration between Lachi and CEL’s The Nora Project. The music is hers. The curriculum is ours. The celebration is everyone’s.
This unit uses song, movement, and reflection to dig deeper into Lachi’s Magnificent album. Students explore how our unique bodies, minds, and ways we communicate shape who we are, while discovering role models who lead with confidence and creativity.
Like in every unit from CEL’s The Nora Project, by sharing their own stories, students embark on a journey toward self-acceptance and belonging, building empathy, honoring access and inclusion, and recognizing that every voice, every difference, and every way of being is something to celebrate.

Named a USA Today Woman of the Year and in Forbes Accessibility 200 list, Lachi has built a multifaceted career at the intersection of music, storytelling, fashion, and disability advocacy. Born legally blind, she is the founder of the U.N.-recognized RAMPD.org (Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities), which works to make the music industry more inclusive for creators and professionals with disabilities. Her work spans media, literature, and culture, from her PBS series Renegades to her award-winning book I Identify as Blind and her co-production of the GRAMMY-nominated album The Colors in My Mind.
