CEL Board Member Kristin Malek, a leader at CDW and co-founder of two inclusion initiatives in Libertyville, spoke at the program on her experience as a mom to Kendall and to Katelynn, who has Down syndrome.

She said, “CEL doesn’t just catch Katelynn – it catches me. It catches me from that fear, from lying awake wondering who will care for her when I can’t, from worrying whether her world will shrink instead of grow. CEL gives me hope. It gives Katelynn purpose.”
