Development Assistant
Full Time – Non-Exempt

The Development Assistant supports CEL’s fundraising efforts by providing exceptional donor service, managing accurate gift and data processes, and coordinating meaningful stewardship activities. As a key partner to the Development team, this role strengthens donor relationships and ensures smooth execution of campaigns and events while advancing CEL’s mission and culture of philanthropy.

Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as a frontline ambassador by delivering exceptional donor service, coordinating stewardship touchpoints, and supporting major donor engagement.
- Support the creation, accuracy, and personalization of donor communications, including acknowledgment letters, updates, and stewardship materials to enhance donor engagement.
- Assist with fundraising activities and donor-focused events, including mailings, RSVPs, communications, and campaign logistics.
- Accurately process gifts and pledges, maintain clean and current donor data in Raiser’s Edge, and produce reports to support fundraising strategy.
- Provide administrative support through scheduling, materials management, timely inquiry response, and collaboration to improve donor retention.
Skills You Bring to CEL
- Bachelor’s degree; or 1-3 years’ experience in nonprofit development; or combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Warm, professional communication skills with the ability to build positive donor relationships.
- Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A customer-service and fundraising mindset with genuine commitment to meaningful donor experiences.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge), Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

Program Supervisor
Full Time – Exempt

The Program Supervisor leads the delivery of high-quality social and recreational programs while guiding and supporting staff to create inclusive and engaging experiences. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role ensures members can learn, connect, and thrive in many ways. Evening and weekend availability is required for this role.

Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and evaluate Activity Instructors and volunteers to ensure high-quality delivery of programs, events, and excursions.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback, and lead regular team meetings with clear follow-up expectations.
- Develop inclusive curriculum and provide lesson plans, modifications, and supports to provide a meaningful experience to members of all abilities.
- Ensure program quality by monitoring implementation, maintaining staff ratios, and scheduling.
- Manage the coordination of budgets, supplies, transportation, and facility upkeep.
- Complete attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Skills You Bring to CEL
- Bachelor’s degree; or one to two years program leadership experience; or equivalent combination of both.
- Experience supervising staff or coordinating team functions with strong leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or similar platforms.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

REACH Instructor
Full Time – Non-Exempt

As an instructor in our REACH Day Program, you will be a hands-on leader, guiding members through activities that enhance life skills, promote independence, and build confidence. Every day, you’ll create opportunities for growth, learning, and connection in a fun and inclusive environment!
Primary Benefits:
- Pay starts at $20.00 per hour, based on experience (increase $1.00 after becoming an eligible driver of CEL vehicles). The position begins at a fixed starting rate, with eligibility for a salary evaluation and potential adjustment based on performance within the range of $20 – $23/hr after 90 days of employment.

- Cultivate community involvement by spending time with the members in exploring local resources, events, and volunteer opportunities – our REACH program spends about 60% of the time in the community!
- Foster relationships and build trusting connections with members and their families, by focusing on member needs and goals
- Empower members to learn and celebrate achievements
- Adapt activities and provide personalized assistance to meet the unique needs of each member
Skills You Bring to CEL:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred: One year of on-the-job experience, working with people with developmental disabilities
- Team player, positive attitude, and an ability to work with all types of personalities
- Valid driver’s license with access to working vehicle, or adequate alternative transportation

Activity/Recreation Instructor
Part Time – Non-Exempt

As an Activity Instructor, you will be a hands-on leader, guiding members through activities that create opportunities for growth, learning, and connection in a warm, welcoming, and fun environment! We are hiring for various programs that operate year round with a variety of hours and shifts. This position typically works afternoons, evenings, and weekends. One weekend day is required.
Primary Benefits:
- Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour, based on experience ($20.00 after becoming an eligible driver of CEL vehicles). The position begins at a fixed starting rate, with eligibility for a salary evaluation and potential adjustment based on performance within the range of $19 – $22/hr after 90 days of employment.

- Paid time off for those who work an average of 10 hours per week or more (year round)
